How Moderno Meble transitioned from marketplace dependency to brand-driven growth

How Moderno Meble transitioned from marketplace dependency to brand-driven growth

Who did we work with

Moderno Meble is a Polish brand with the ambition to become a leader in the mid-premium segment. The company had a strong operational structure and a solid customer base, but it lacked a brand strategy and a scalable marketing model. Our collaboration began when the Moderno team wanted to reduce its dependence on marketplaces and enter a phase of controlled, predictable growth. Our task was to redesign the approach to digital campaigns—shifting from a performance-only focus to strategic marketing based on brand value and long-term growth.

About the campaign

Moderno Meble is a Polish premium furniture brand that faced a turning point in its development in 2024. After several years of dynamic sales growth based mainly on marketplaces, the company began to see the clear limitations of this model: a lack of brand recognition, difficulty in maintaining margins, and seasonal revenue drops.

The goal of the cooperation was to transition from a marketplace-first to a brand-driven e-commerce model, which meant building an independent sales channel based on proprietary traffic, brand strength, and the value that customers perceive in Moderno products. The ambition was to double revenue year-over-year while maintaining profitability—an ambitious goal, but achievable thanks to a strategic approach to marketing and communication.

Our activities

We started with a complete redesign of Moderno's presence in Google search. Instead of broad brand-based campaigns, we focused on precise product phrases.

The next step was to refresh the brand positioning. From the beginning, Moderno offered high quality, but the communication focused on price and promotions, which caused the brand to be perceived similarly to its mass-market competitors.
So we introduced a premium positioning strategy, focusing on communicating the benefits related to personalization, craftsmanship quality, and fast delivery.

In practice, this meant:

  • focusing on configurable products that naturally carry a higher margin,
  • and targeting the upper-middle class segment, meaning people who buy quality instead of price bargains.

The result was not only a higher average order value, but also a more consistent brand image across digital channels.

The Moderno Meble campaign was a complete transformation – from a company dependent on marketplaces to a brand with its own stable customer base. Thanks to a combination of precise performance marketing, well-thought-out positioning, and a focus on user experience, it was possible to achieve lasting growth and strengthen its position in the mid-to-premium segment.

Specialist comment

Moderno Meble is an example of a brand that dared to escape the marketplace trap and build its own recognizable brand in the mid-premium segment. The key was understanding that price is not the only argument—consumers are looking for quality, customization options, and purchase confidence. By combining aggressive Google Search with precise value communication, it was possible to achieve stable growth despite strong price pressure from major players. The collaboration showed that furniture e-commerce can be both profitable and aspirational.
